Become a vital part of Thomson Reuters as a Senior Counsel, Engineering & Technology. This hybrid role supports creative engineering initiatives and emerging technologies with strategic legal advice.

Thomson Reuters seeks an experienced Senior Counsel to join the General Counsel’s Office. This role is essential in advising on legal, regulatory, and reputational risks throughout the technology development lifecycle. You will engage with our Engineering and Technology teams and Innovation Labs to ensure compliance and risk management in complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on legal issues across technology development phases
• Assess risks related to software development and data usage
• Support legal aspects of AI and machine learning initiatives




• Develop best practices for regulatory compliance documentation
• Create training resources for Engineering and Technology teams

Requirements:
• Juris Doctor degree and licensed in Minnesota, Texas, or Ontario
• 4+ years in technology law and compliance
• Familiarity with AI regulations and data privacy laws
• Strong collaboration skills with a focus on legal risk management
• Experience in software engineering is a plus
