Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative student for this summer internship position. As a Communications and Marketing Intern, you will play a key role in promoting the innovative projects and initiatives at CIM - TAC , focusing on the PARASPORT project, a national applied research initiative advancing innovation and accessibility in Para Olympic disciplines, helping to coordinate, develop and propose communications strategies for stakeholders involved in the field and either creating presentations materials, strategies for SOPs and aid the team on the discover phase when engagement with the athletes. The potential candidate would have a great motivation in terms of translating technical solutions from CIM TAC to the Parasport community

Position Responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies to promote CIM - TAC and PARASPORT initiatives, projects, and events.

Create compelling content for various marketing channels, including social media, website, email newsletters, slide decks, and print materials, tailored to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Support PARASPORT communications by helping showcase applied research projects, partner institutions, Para athlete informed needs, and emerging opportunities within Para sport.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (researchers, applied research staff, industry partners, and sport organizations) to gather information and insights for marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing efforts using analytics tools and provide recommendations for improved reach and engagement.

Assist in organizing and coordinating events, workshops, and outreach activities to engage stakeholders and build relationships.

Support internal communication efforts by drafting newsletters, announcements, and other communication materials.

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or diploma program in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

Proven strong work ethic, attendance record and productivity in an independent work environment demonstrated through previous employment, education, or volunteer experience.

Proven ability to work within a team and communicate positively supporting new and different ideas

Ability to complete work duties such as sitting, standing, and/ light physical effort over modest periods of time, with some opportunity for relief and task variety. The work may involve movement of average weight material with periodic requirements to lift heavier objects.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or familiarity with Para sport, adapted activity and/or accessibility/inclusive design is considered an asset.

Experience in writing for different media and audiences, concisely convey technical ideas, write engaging stories, creative writing,

Familiarity with social media content creation tools, such as Canva.

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate innovative ideas for marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Enthusiasm for innovation and a desire to contribute to the promotion of cutting-edge projects in manufacturing technology and sustainable energy.

Salary $22.18 per hour

Benefits and Compensation Information

An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
