Make a profound impact as a Youth Worker at Covenant House Vancouver. Support vulnerable youth aged 16 to 24 in transitioning to independent living while providing essential resources and caring guidance.

In this role, you will partner with at-risk youth, assessing their immediate needs and helping them access food, clothing, and transportation. Your focus will involve building solid relationships and collaborating with staff to assist youth in goal setting and skill development. You will also offer crisis intervention and trauma-informed care during challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome youth accessing CHV services
• Develop relationships with at-risk youth 16–24 years old
• Provide practical resources including food and transport




• Assist youth in creating attainable goals and strategies
• Respond to emergencies with crisis intervention

Requirements:
• Diploma in social services or 2 years experience
• First Aid & Crisis Intervention training is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with youth facing homelessness
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
