Camp Gencheff is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and organized After School Program Coordinator to lead our after-school programming for children and youth, including participants with disabilities and additional support needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead fun, inclusive, and age-appropriate activities.

Provide supervision and support to participants and staff on the floor

Create programming that encourages independence, social skills, recreation, and life skills.

Supervise and provide direction to program staff.

Assist with staff scheduling and daily assignments.

Communicate with parents/caregivers regarding participant needs and program activities.

Maintain attendance and program records.

Ensure appropriate supervision, safety, and staff-to-participant ratios.

Respond appropriately to behavioural, medical, and safety concerns.

Complete incident reports and other required documentation.

Maintain a clean, secure, and welcoming environment.

Support community outings, special events, and other Camp Gencheff activities.

Qualifications

Experience working with children and/or youth with disabilities.

Experience in recreation, child care, education, community programming, or a related field.

Strong communication,



organization, and leadership skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Patient, creative, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy environment.

First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.Vulnerable Sector Check required.

Education

Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Care, Recreation, Education, Disability Studies, Social Work, or a related field is an asset.
