Central Okanagan Public Schools seeks a District School Psychologist to empower students. This role focuses on collaboration, assessment, and enhancing educational experiences.
The ideal candidate holds a Master's Degree in educational psychology and is qualified to administer psychological tests. You will design behavioral interventions and work closely with teachers and parents to meet students' needs. Your expertise will help facilitate strong relationships with multi-disciplinary teams and community care providers, ensuring support for students' social and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and interpret psychological and behavioral assessments
• Collaborate with School Based Teams to implement strategies
• Support IEP development and classroom management
• Train staff on special education assessment techniques
• Work with external agencies to aid student support
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in school or educational psychology
• Proficient in educational policies and assessment practices
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven leadership in educational settings
• Membership eligibility in B.C.A.S.P. or College of Psychologists
