Position Overview We are looking for an ApprenticeTechnician to join our team at South Pointe Honda . The successfulcandidate is someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and eagerto contribute to our growing team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Apprentice position is a fantastic startingopportunity within the automotive industry as it presents you with exposure toall departments in the dealership. In addition, you will be provided withexposure to inventory and customer engagement.
The right individual will share a passion for providing aquality customer experience and have the opportunity to grow in an environmentof respect, trust, honesty and collaboration.
Dedicated to quality of workmanship, diagnostics andmaintenance repair as per required standards.
Perform daily maintenance that will include lubrication,oil and filter changes, tire rotations, accessory installations and scheduledmaintenance.
Assist in diagnosis,
repair and complete approved serviceon customer vehicles
Accurately record the cause and correction of the issue inour dealership software on customer repair orders
Performs road tests to identify issues and subsequentlyconfirms repairs are completed to a satisfactory level
Provides Service Advisors a summary of additionalmaintenance or required work that needs to be performed
Provides Service Advisors with accurate parts and labourestimates through utilizing our dealership software
Accurately record the cause and correction of the issue inour dealership software on customer repair orders
Completes the Technician portion and related inspectionforms
Maintains and follows manufacturer warranty policies andprocedures
Qualifications Required Currently enrolled and actively pursuing an AutomotiveJourneyman Apprenticeship. Preference will be given to 2nd or 3rd yearcandidates.
Requires clear written and oral communication skills and awillingness to attend training seminars and courses to expand professionaldevelopment.
Requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’sabstract.
Ability to carefully and safely drive both standard andautomatic vehicles.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items such as tires, toolsand equipment.
