The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from $63,347 to $116,190, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE.
Required Qualifications And Experience
Appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Science would be considered an asset
Post-secondary coursework and/or ELL instructional certification considered an asset
Knowledgeable in the use of Proficiency Scales for assessment
Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Core Competencies, Big Ideas, and Learning Standards for the appropriate curricular area
Member of the BC College of Teachers
Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum.
An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.
A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.
A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
