This permanent role requires an experienced videojournalist ready to cover important news and issues in Canada’s Far North. Reporting daily with colleagues from Iqaluit and Yellowknife, you will engage deeply with local communities and tackle a wide range of topics, from politics to social issues. Your creative storytelling and strong writing skills are vital as you contribute to various editorial platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
• Attend daily assignment meetings to understand news priorities
• Pitch and develop original story ideas tailored for Northern audiences
• Write articles and create engaging digital video content




• Build robust relationships within local communities and CBC North
• Conduct interviews and gather information on relevant territorial issues

Requirements:
• University degree and three years of relevant experience
• Strong writing, storytelling, and interview skills
• Proficient in both French and English communication
• Knowledge of the Far North and Indigenous communities
• Proven ability to thrive under tight deadlines
