Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview Experience Minimum two years previous related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable
Qualifications and Skills Preference will be given to those candidates with previous staff scheduling experience.
Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
Typing 50 wpm, medical terminology (pass mark 75%) required.
Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Knowledge of Workplace for Scheduling Personnel (ESP) or other service-based staff scheduling systems preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills required.
Must have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
Physical Requirements Must be able to function in a high volume, high traffic environment.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
