Starting September 1, 2026, this itinerant position demands a Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology and eligibility for BC registration. You will provide assessments, develop intervention plans, and work closely with parents and school teams. The role emphasizes implementing effective AAC strategies for complex communication requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and assess students with significant communicative impairments
• Plan and direct effective speech-language intervention programs
• Collaborate with parents and outside professionals for student support
• Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) consultation
• Offer in-service sessions for staff and families
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology
• Membership eligibility in the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC
• Strong communication skills in written and oral formats
• Experience in educational settings preferred
• Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships
