PEI Connectors is an initiative of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce, that helps newcomer entrepreneurs succeed in business in PEI, and jobseekers (professionally-trained interprovincial and international newcomers, and recent domestic and international post-secondary graduates) develop qualified networks that connect them to the local labor market.
The program is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Events & Marketing Manager. This is a full-time contract position, commencing immediately until March 31, 2027. Depending on job performance, program needs and availability of funding, this employment contract may be extended.
Experience & Skills Requirements
The Event & Marketing Manager organizes educational programming and networking sessions; they also develop and implement the program’s marketing strategy.
The successful candidate:
works well with local newcomer and business communities, as well as PEI’s post-secondary student community and recent graduates
is proficient in Microsoft Office
is comfortable using database; knowledge of CRM system would be considered as asset
has strong written and oral communication skills
has a proven ability to create dynamic in-person and online events
is up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends




has experience with website management: editing and maintaining content using content management systems
has basic graphic design skills to create visually appealing social media content
has hands-on experience in content management, and an ability to deliver creative content; a knowledge of video editing software is an asset
is organized and results-oriented
has analytical and multitasking skills
works well on their own and as part of a team
has access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
A relevant post-secondary education would be considered an asset.
