This position focuses on marine and terrestrial archaeological initiatives across Canada and internationally. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support crucial projects in marine remediation and coastal development, enhancing WSP's marine heritage practice. Your contributions will profoundly impact underwater cultural landscapes and traditional Indigenous marine-use areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead terrestrial archaeological field programs including assessments
• Participate in underwater archaeological investigations and surveys
• Assist with planning marine archaeological fieldwork and surveys
• Collaborate on field programs with senior archaeologists
• Partner with diverse teams to ensure project success
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or related field
• Experience with marine and terrestrial archaeological projects
• Knowledge of BC Heritage Conservation Act
• Active progression toward Field Director qualifications
• Familiarity with marine survey technologies and data collection
