We are currently recruiting Skilled Construction (Concrete) Laborers to assist our Formwork Carpenters in Fernie, BC This is an excellent way for the right candidate to start a career.
Thesuccessful candidate could move into a carpentryapprentice role after several years of experience.

Duties/Responsibilities Assist tower crane and hoist technicians with any duties theyneedhelp with
Demo worksites and prepare them for new concrete pour or placemen
Inventory counting and management
Unloading and loading materials




Cleanup and organization
Degrease cranes and skips
Perform maintenance
Working Conditions Monday to Friday
Overtime and work on weekends as required.
Long term, steady, year-round work
One paid 15 minutebreakand one ½ hour unpaid lunch break per day
Combination of inside and outside work. Appropriate dress required.
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Positive attitude towards safety
Punctual and reliable
Self-motivated
Willingto learn
Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined, physically fit
Requirements WHMIS required
CSTS or SCOT required
Experience with concrete form setting or construction is required
Reliable transportation
Exposure to cold/hot weather. Appropriate dress required for weather conditions.
Exposure to noise, dust, pollution
Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, sharp hand tools
Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time
Ability to lift between 11 and 25 kg.
