Join the City of Nanaimo as a Development Engineering Manager and shape urban growth. You'll play a critical role in overseeing development and engineering projects.

As a permanent full time Manager, you will directly report to the Director of Planning & Development. This position emphasizes the planning and organization of the Development Engineering Section. Successful candidates will have substantial management experience and a degree in civil engineering or a related field, ensuring high standards in development proposals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Guide planning efforts within the Development Engineering Section
• Review and assess development proposals for city projects
• Coordinate activities with local government and community stakeholders




• Ensure engineering practices meet regulatory requirements
• Provide leadership and technical direction to staff

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience
• Eligibility for engineering membership in BC
• Possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
• Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills
