My son is almost 5 years old. It’s just him, I and our cat at home. I need someone to help support me with him. He’s extremely active and I only have so much patience and energy. I need help when I’m home with him (occasionally I may leave the house to run an errand).
Help is needed between 6pm-8pm/9pm Mon-Fri. And Saturdays and Sundays…all day or just a few hours. Kind of flexible. We can make adjustments each time to the schedule month by month if that’s best for you. If there’s random days in a month where you can’t work no worries at all because I’m going to be there anyways and I have back up support, however, I really need a main person to support him and I.

I’m hoping we can take him on some adventures together occasionally (it’s often just too much for myself to manage).

Open to both live-in and live-out arrangements (I do have a spare room). The position is part-time, allowing for a balanced schedule that fits well with other commitments you may have.

In addition to childcare, I would appreciate assistance with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a tidy and organized home environment. Preparing meals sometimes (but I do cook - it’s more like I need help occupying him while I cook but pls know how to do the basics in case I’m out when he needs to be fed a meal).

Driving is not necessary but pls let me know your driving and vehicle situation…I would assume it’s a good idea to in order to get home safely,



as I need help until 8pm or 9pm and we all know the transit situation in this city.

Bonus if you speak Spanish - he is entering a Spanish-bilingual program this year.

Wage is open..just depends..please let me know what you’re thinking.

I need help asap. The best thing is for you to come over so we have the opportunity to speak together and then soon after we schedule a couple of hour trial session where you can take care of him (will be paid and with me there).

I’m going to be honest, about half of our caregivers don’t work out…my son is a wonderful person but it’s going to be difficult for you if are the kind of individual to take things personally, not have much energy, or be a stickler (he is not the best listener, can be defiant, is amazing at pushing boundaries and worse-than-average at emotional regulation even for a 4 year old).
You will need to have the ability to engage him..that’s the key and those are the caregivers he always does well with. He never sits still (unless he gets engaged in some sit-down activity). He is truly a fun-loving, kind, intelligent and special soul - who I really want the right person to help me support.
