About the Role

The Engine Systems Engineer is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership in the area of developing engine & hybrid control system strategies. Experience in either propulsion system control development and/or calibration is desired.
The candidate should be experienced in engine controls, hybrid controls, engine systems development, calibration and FE/emissions testing. The candidate must be a strong team player, systems focused with interdisciplinary experience & expertise, and willing to work in quick paced environment.

The Engine Systems Engineer is responsible for both individual technical project deliverables, coordinating activities and bringing projects to successful conclusions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Applied Physics, or any other relevant STEM oriented degree from an ABET accredited university.
- 1-5 years of total experience in engine system controls/calibration development.
- Demonstrated technical leadership on propulsion system control and calibration development projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of internal combustion engine physics, engine regulatory requirements and engine OBD.




- Demonstrated ability in control algorithm development methods.
- Effective experienced based or analytical problem solving ability.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- Demonstrated potential to teach, lead and inspire.

The expected base salary range for this position is $30 – $37 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.
