We are seeking a Senior Security Analyst for a long-term, full-time contract with a government-sector client based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

This is a 100% onsite role at the client's office, with an anticipated start date of August 24, 2026 and strong potential for extension.

The analyst will act as a hands-on defender within the client's security operations, focusing on incident response, network security monitoring, threat investigation, and privileged access management.

Given the government context, the successful candidate must be able to meet the client's security clearance requirements and provide at least three professional references.

Responsibilities

- Lead and support security incident response end to end — from detection and triage through containment, eradication, and root-cause analysis — using Service Now to manage and document cases.
- Continuously monitor network security, analyzing traffic patterns to identify anomalies, intrusions, and potential threats.
- Operate and tune network security controls, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, ACLs, NAC, VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Conduct threat investigations and packet analysis to determine the scope, impact, and origin of security events.

- Administer and support Privileged Access Management, ensuring privileged accounts are governed, monitored, and secured.
- Produce explicit reports and communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

- At least five years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience in a security analyst or equivalent operational role.
- Demonstrated experience across incident response, network security monitoring, threat investigation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Service Now, and Privileged Access Management.
- Working knowledge of ACLs, NAC, VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Strong analytical skills in packet analysis and root-cause analysis.
- Excellent reporting and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan for the full duration of the contract, and to meet the government client's security clearance requirements.

Nice to have Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or CEH are considered an asset, though demonstrated technical experience is the primary requirement.
