Financial Controller - West Island, hybrid - Salary in the 6 digits based on experience Overview The Financial Controller oversees all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight. This role leads a small accounting team while managing cash flow, credit, foreign exchange, and statutory reporting to support executive decision‑making and maintain the company’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities

Manage cash flow and oversee month‑end/year‑end closing

Prepare financial statements, budgets, and performance reports

Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations

Conduct credit analysis, monitor collections, and manage FX risk

Ensure compliance with taxes, audits, payroll, and internal controls

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals





Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business objectives

Qualifications

CPA designation; Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business

7–10 years in accounting/finance, including team leadership

Experience in cash flow, credit, FX, and reporting (import/export/trading preferred)

Advanced Excel; Microsoft Business Central and Power BI an asset

Solid analytical, communication, and leadership skills
