Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a
Part-Time Temporary Nutrition Coordinator
for
Bon Accord School .
This position is part of the
Alberta
School
Nutrition
Program
and ensures students have access to a breakfast program during the school day. Working closely with staff and volunteers, the Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious food while maintaining safe food handling practices.

offers K-4 programming and is located approximately 20 minutes north of the City of Edmonton in the Town of Bon Accord. The school has a student population of approximately 240 students and a dedicated teaching and support staff working together as a team to provide exemplary education to all students. The school nurtures a safe and caring environment by offering various programs to encourage robust leadership. This assignment is subject to change based on operational requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
High School Diploma or Post-Secondary Diploma/Certificate
Safe Food Handling Course
Experience in food preparation
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
Equivalent combinations of education, knowledge, and experience may be considered
Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
What success looks like
Nutritious meals and/or food programs are planned, coordinated, and delivered efficiently to support student well-being
Food ordering, inventory, and distribution processes are well-organized, cost-effective, and accurately tracked
Compliance with health, safety,
and nutritional guidelines is consistently maintained
Students have reliable access to healthy food options that support their readiness to learn throughout the school day
Strong communication is maintained with staff, families, vendors, and community partners regarding nutrition programming
Financial tracking related to nutrition programs is accurate, transparent, and aligned with divisional procedures
Food services operations run smoothly with minimal disruption to school routines
Nutrition-related data, records, and reporting are maintained accurately and kept up to date
Resources are used responsibly to maximize program impact and reduce waste
You are recognized as a dependable, organized, and collaborative support who contributes meaningfully to student health, engagement, and success
