Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Tailings & Mine Waste requested to contribute to the Mining Environmental Group, covering hybrid work from home and office-based schedules in Toronto, Sudbury, or Fredericton. What you would engage in

Engage with clients, colleagues and suppliers on environmentally focused field programs and design solutions. Manage and lead projects including development, review and approvals of technical specifications, drawings and design reports and tender packages for major tailing dams, mine waste facilities, containment facilities and mine infrastructure projects. Provide mentorship to staff through the methodologies of tailings storage facility designs. Build client rapport to advance projects from feasibility through mine closure phases. Expand knowledge by attending conferences and trainings. Contribute to industry knowledge and state of practice. Be an ambassador for and potentially become an owner of KCB. What we require

We value your knowledge and experience and will support your ongoing development. The role requires the following qualifications: A degree in civil engineering or geological engineering, with a track record of continued development. At least ten years of civil design experience with five years related to mine waste management projects. Background in geotechnical design, focusing on dams, embankments, and slopes. Experience in slope stability and seepage analysis, dam design, earthworks, and construction.



Ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams and build relationships. Experience in a safety-focused environment with near-miss and incident reporting. Eligible to register as a professional engineer in Canada. Additionally, you will excel if you have: Experience in seismic analysis of dams and related software packages. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to present solutions clearly. Willingness to mentor others and be mentored. Ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and industry partners. Robust critical thinking and flexible problem-solving abilities. Qualifications and benefits
