- Assemble prototypeelectrical and electronic systems
- Construct, calibrate,and maintain testing or electrical equipment
- Visit manufacturingfacilities to observe environmental factors that affect thedesign
- Determine remediesfor the technical design issues that occur when producingelectrical systems
- Check designs forquality control, provide findings, and suggest adjustments asneeded.
- Create schematics andtechnical specs for experimental electronic devices.
- Following theguidance of engineers, create basic circuitry and draftdesigns to clarify design specifics.
- Create prototypesusing blueprints or sketches
- Circuitry orelectronic components should be assembled, tested, andmaintained in accordance with engineering specifications,electronic knowledge, and technical guides.
- Circuitry andelectronic parts should be adjusted and replaced asnecessary.
- Use bench lathes,drills, or other mechanical equipment to create components suchas coils and terminal boards.
- Keep up withtechnological or commercial changes by taking part in trainingor continuing education programs.
- Help scientists andengineers carry out electrical engineering appliedresearch.
- Assemble and maintainrecords of the resources used, repairs or corrective actiontaken, installed equipment,



installation or operational issues,and engineering schematics.
- Examine thesuitability of sustainable materials for use inelectrical engineering systems or system designs.
- Compare or analyzemanufacturing costs for sustainable and non-sustainable designs,andconduct statistical research.

Requirements

- 2-year degree inelectrical technology or a similar field.
- Completion of anapprenticeship in electrical work.
- Electrical technicianexperience of at least two years.
- Excellent ability tosolve problems.
- A valuable ability tocommunicate.
- Knowledgeable inusing power and hand tools, soldering techniques, andfault-testing tools.
