Job Description
- Manipulate sectionsof pipe or drill stem at the rig floor during drilling andduring the removal and replacement of strings of pipe or drillstem and drill bit
- Handle, sort and movedrill tools, pipe, cement and other materials
- Maintain drillingequipment on the drill floor
- Drive trucks totransport materials and well service equipment
- Assist in setting up,taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs andservice equipment
- Cleanup rigareas
- Assist other workers to maintain drilling equipment on drill floor
Requirements
- Class 1 Driverslicense required
- Previous workexperience on a drilling rig
- Must have a strongmechanical aptitude
- Must be able to workas part of a team and follow directions
- Must hold allregulatory safety certificates as required
- Can work outdoorsunder a variety of weather conditions
