They’re appointed to perform regular inspections or as required, testing and maintenance on systems including but not limited to fire alarm systems, wet, dry, pre-action and deluge sprinkler systems. - Candidates are appointed to identify, report, and elevate deficiencies and code violations noted during inspection, testing and maintenance activities using work order management systems or other approved centralized inspection programs.
- Candidates are also appointed to conduct minor repairs of fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, clean agent systems and other fixed fire protection systems as required.
- They’re appointed to prepare and maintain reports and inspection records on fire and life safety equipment and systems.




- Candidates are appointed to manage repairs and alterations of the systems in conjunction with the Supervisor and the Property management team.
- They’re also appointed to provide instruction to Building Maintenance on fire and life safety systems and operations.

Job requirement

- Candidates must attain Post-Secondary education in Fire Protection Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidates must attain completion of a Canadian Fire Alarm Association certification or equivalent.
- They must attain experience conducting inspection, testing and maintenance on fire and life safety systems including fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems.
- Candidates must attain experience with industrial and commercial building construction.

- Candidates must possess a valid Province of Ontario Class G Driver’s license to be eligible for this post.
