Applications are invited for the position of: Coordinator - Education Services for Wolf Creek Public Schools Temporary replacement position , effective August 26, 2026 to January 31, 2027 Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) invites applications from experienced, dynamic, and progressive leaders for the position of Coordinator - Education Services. As a member of the Education Services team, the Coordinator is responsible for a variety of key portfolio areas that support the division’s overall priority areas of Quality Teaching, Supporting All Students, and Collective Responsibility.

Wolf Creek Public Schools serves approximately 7,500 students in 30 schools across the division with a workforce of approximately 900.

Education Services & Divisional Supports

Support the Education Services team in advancing the division’s vision, priorities, and commitment to inclusive education.

Build capacity across schools by supporting educators to respond effectively to diverse learning, social-emotional, and behavioural needs.

Collaborate with the Education Services team to advance departmental priorities and provide coordinated supports to schools.

Support schools in implementing and achieving elements of their school-based education and strategic plans.

Collaboratively plan and facilitate professional learning for administrators, teachers, Educational Assistants, and other school-based staff.

Promote inclusive instructional practices, use student data to inform programming and support decisions, and facilitate the sharing of effective practices across the division.

Respond to emerging divisional priorities and provide additional support as required.

Inclusion, PUF & Bright Futures Pre-Kindergarten





Provide divisional leadership for the Program Unit Funding (PUF) program , including program planning, staffing allocations, budgeting, student programming plans, and related reporting requirements.

Provide leadership and support to Bright Futures Pre-Kindergarten programs , including classroom consultation and visits, coordination with service providers, and support for student assessment and programming.

Provide consultation and collaborative problem-solving to school teams supporting students with complex learning, social-emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.

Work alongside school teams to develop effective strategies, goals, interventions, and programming approaches that support student success and inclusion.

Build the capacity of teachers and school-based teams through coaching, consultation, professional learning, and the sharing of evidence-informed practices.

Collaborate with divisional and community service providers to coordinate assessments, interventions, and supports for students and families.

Liaise with external partners and service providers to ensure students have timely access to appropriate programming, services, and supports.

Support schools in monitoring the effectiveness of interventions and adjusting programming based on student needs and available data.

Contribute to divisional initiatives that strengthen inclusive practices, early learning, student engagement,



and successful transitions for students with complex needs.

The above list represents the current assignment for this coordinator position. As needs, resources, and expertise evolve, our coordinator positions may change to reflect recent divisional priorities or areas of need. Additionally, position responsibilities could be adjusted to align with the expertise and leadership experiences of the successful candidate. As such, we encourage candidates with strong school or divisional leadership experience in any of these areas to apply, recognizing that versatility and adaptability are key assets in our organization.

The Candidate The successful candidate will have an exemplary background as a student-centered educator, including the following qualifications:

Demonstrate excellence in classroom teaching with at least 5 years of experience

Strong work ethic and highly skilled in building positive working relationships

Solution-focused educator with experience and/or training in supporting complex student programming and students with challenging behaviours

Completion of or working toward a Masters Degree would be an asset

Certification and/or trainer designation with Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments (SIVA) approaches, and protocols would be an asset

Evidence of experience and/or application of supporting the Application of Foundational Knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit

Commitment to career-long professional learning and reflective practice

Evidence of collaborative approach to problem-solving

The successful candidate must hold or qualify for an Alberta teaching certificate.
