Suncor is searching for an experienced individual to join our Cyber Defense team. You will be responsible for conducting manual penetration tests on web applications, focusing on security weaknesses and collaborating with developers for remediation. Your hands-on experience with security tools and coding practices will be vital as you lead secure design reviews and contribute to red and purple team engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute manual penetration tests and identify application vulnerabilities • Develop proof-of-concept exploits for testing security measures • Assess implementations of OAuth 2.0 and similar protocols • Conduct secure design and threat modeling sessions • Collaborate with development teams on remediation efforts
Requirements: • 7+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on web testing • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field • Proficient in Burp Suite or similar tools • Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
