Your responsibilities will encompass planting, irrigation, pest management, and equipment maintenance, bridging sustainable practices with community education on Haudenosaunee food ways. This position prioritizes applicants from Six Nations or other First Nations communities, ensuring culturally relevant practices are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and adjust greenhouse conditions for optimal health • Conduct regular irrigation and fertilization operations • Manage crop healthcare, including monitoring and pest management • Harvest crops and maintain proper storage standards • Keep accurate records of greenhouse operations
Requirements: • Diploma in Horticulture or Greenhouse Technician • 2-3 years of greenhouse management experience • Valid Greenhouse Structural Exterminator’s License • ‘G’ class driver’s license and access to a vehicle • Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel
