As a Montreal-based Claims Specialist - Casualty, you will play a key role on AXA XL’s Casualty Claims team. You will collaborate closely with your manager and Claims colleagues to move files toward resolution, while regularly collaborating with Underwriting teams. Together, you will help achieve the best possible outcomes for AXA XL and its clients by proactively resolving and settling claims.



What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include? Providing thoughtful and comprehensive coverage analysis and preparing relevant correspondence to communicate to brokers and insureds when applicable. Ensuring thorough claim investigations are completed. Evaluating and negotiating timely resolutions on assigned claims across multiple jurisdictions. Partnering with internal and external counsel in setting and pursuing effective and cost-effective litigation strategies for claims in litigation. Active participation in mediations and settlement conferences as appropriate. Coordinating and managing communication with internal and external stakeholders (e.G., Underwriting, brokers, reinsurers, external vendors, etc.) to ensure the highest level of customer service.
