Become part of Nova Scotia Health as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in Dickson Building, QEII. This role focuses on protected medication dispensing and patient-centered healthcare delivery.
You will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure ethical care while preparing and distributing medications. Key tasks include compounding, inventory management, and participating in quality assurance programs. Experience in hospital settings is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Compounding sterile and non-sterile dosage forms
• Ensure accurate medication inventory control
• Conduct medication reconciliation and assist with CIVA systems
• Engage in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
• Active licensure in Nova Scotia or pursuit of licensure
• Familiarity with automations in medication dispensing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
