The COO will be responsible for partnering with the CEO to develop and implement organizational strategy, leading cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring that all operations align with the company's mission and impact objectives. This role involves overseeing a significant budget, financial operations, and internal controls, as well as leading day-to-day operations, facilities management, and IT systems. The successful candidate will also be tasked with executive oversight of program and client service delivery, risk management, and fostering a culture of compliance, resilience, and staff engagement.
Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 8-12 years of senior leadership experience, particularly in the nonprofit or public sector, is required. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in finance, IT, operations, risk management, and program delivery, with experience in seasonal workforce scaling or multi-site operations being an asset. The COO must be a strategic thinker, possess excellent leadership and team development skills, and have a strong understanding of nonprofit governance and the regulatory environment in Ontario.
