Job details

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dangerous. Work setting: Installation. Repair. Tasks: Select equipment for residential and small commercial construction. Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal. Utilize computerized quantity take-off. Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces. Schedule work. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification. Estimate costs and materials. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver’s licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Team player. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
