Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager partners closely with administration and client services to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and support donor advised fund (DAF) operations. This role is based in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization that is continuing to grow and evolve.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, bank and investment reconciliations, and month‑end reportingPrepare internal financial reports, cash flow analysis, and budgetsOversee accounting and reporting for donor advised funds, including investment activity, fees, grants, and donation receiptsManage vendor payments, HST rebate filings,
and day‑to‑day banking activitiesLiaise with external accountants and support year‑end auditsMaintain strong internal controls, documentation, and confidentiality standardsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reportingQualificationsCPA designation requiredMinimum 10 years of full‑cycle accounting experienceStrong fund accounting and non‑profit accounting experienceExperience with investment accounting and market returnsAdvanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop, NFP) and Excel; NetSuite experience preferredSkills & AttributesHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environmentStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skillsHigh skilled integrity and business acumenComfortable working collaboratively in a fast‑changing business context, with shifting priorities and developing frameworksCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive base salary ($100,000 - $120,000) + annual discretionary performance‑based bonusHealth benefits via participation in the firm’s benefit programWe offer comprehensive health benefits and a 6% RRSP employer matchContinuing Education and Registration fee support as required3 weeks of vacation per yearPlease note that this is a hybrid role, requiring occasional travel to the Toronto or Collingwood office.As part of our recruitment process, we may use technology‑assisted tools, including automated systems, to support the review and assessment of applications.
