Reports to: Material Planning Manager Location: 24 Napoleon Road, Barrie (hybrid) Job Purpose: Manage, plan and release orders for a portfolio of purchased components, raw materials, and outside services for production and sales requirements for a specific division, ensuring optimized service and inventory levels within corporate guidelines. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Own and manage a portfolio of materials, performing ongoing analysis and maintenance of MRP parameters to meet demand while maintaining service levels and inventory control. Issue periodic forecasts to vendors and Purchase Orders (PO) daily based on MRP and/or sales requirements. Process purchase orders, including vendor confirmations, ensuring on‑time delivery, accurate receipts to PO completion, and resolving subsequent invoice issues. Maintain open POs through MRP changes, communicating and managing changes with vendors as necessary. React immediately to urgent production or sales requirements, taking internal and external ownership to resolution.



Manage vendor reject material, liaising closely with internal departments and vendors to reach resolution. Analyze material discrepancies in the MRP (ERP) system, implementing root‑cause fixes and coordinating with internal departments. Communicate daily with team, department associates, planners and supervisors on material availability and potential issues. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. 1–2 years of material control/supply chain experience in a volume manufacturing environment (preferred). Assembly production experience is a definite asset. Supply Chain Management / Logistics certifications considered an asset. Experience with ERP or MRP software; Dynamics 365 is an asset.
