Join us, and you’ll be at the forefront of an evolving industry creating renewable energy solutions, modernizing the electric grid, and developing new power grid infrastructure.Your Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and lead teams carrying out power system modelling and studies using PSS/E, including the following: - Power flowTransient (energetic) analysisPost‑transient analysisShort circuitPreparation of scripts and programming to facilitate large numbers of simulations and automate compilation of resultsLead meetings with the client to initially kick‑off the project, review project progress and present results and recommendations.Work with the project team to meet the allotted time, scope, and budget of assigned projects.Prepare and review study reports, identifying assumptions, methodology, analysis, and results.Assist/lead technical proposal development for study opportunities.Deep understanding of electrical power system and power electronics theory.Experience with PSS/E required,



experience with PSLF preferred.Familiarity with Python programmingExperience with other power system simulation tools would be considered an asset.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively explain and discuss solutions with clients and lead the project team.Self‑motivated and able to collaborate with teammates and clients.Education and ExperienceMinimum Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Ph.D. degree preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in power systems studies, but more than 10 years of experience preferred.Pay RangeLocations in Lower Mainland – BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario: $114,600.00 – $164,600.00 AnnuallyPay TransparencyIn compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
