As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling a post-secondary institution located at M5B 1Y2 (Downtown Toronto) .

Responsibilities for Tactical Campus Security Guard

- Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity
- Check identification and control access to secure areas
- React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken
- Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks
- Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents
- Proactively patrol the University campus situated in the downtown core.
- Respond to and document security occurrences, violations, hazards, suspicious activities,



maintenance-related problems and other related duties as assigned.
- Interpret and enforce the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act of Ontario and University regulations.
- Work with the community on safety planning and community engagement initiatives.
- Patrol in uniform by foot, bike or vehicle.
- Work with and interact positively in a dynamic team atmosphere based on the principles of Community Policing.
- Liaise and build relationships with the community and stakeholders to help foster community engagement.

Qualifications for Tactical Campus Security Guard

- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Ontario security guard license
- Ability to stand and walk throughoutshift
- Must have WSIB approved Standard First Aid and CPR level C certification
- Minimum 1 year previous tactical experience
- Be a self-starter with robust initiative
- Be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks & responsibilities.
