- Read and interpretblueprints to evaluate or plan plumbing layouts andinstallations.
- Install, maintainand repair plumbing and fixtures.
- Installation andrepair of various household appliances.
- Cut, weld andassemble pipes, tubes, fittings and accessories.
- Inspect and testplumbing systems for safety, functionality, and codecompliance. Handle customer inquiries and respond to tendercalls.
- Troubleshooting andproblem solving.
- Make a costestimate.
- Installation,repair and maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings,drainage systems and fittings in commercial andresidential buildings.
- Collaborate withgeneral contractors, electricians and other constructionprofessionals. Follow the blueprints and constructionplans.
- Respond,
diagnose,and resolve plumbing emergencies.
- Perform periodicinspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
- Prepare bids,budgets and cost estimates. Keep accurate records ofwork time, job descriptions and materialsused.
Requirements
- Over 2 yearsexperience as a plumber.
- Have a positive workingknowledge of water supply, heating and ventilationsystems.
- Proficiently readblueprints and use plumbing repair tools. Strongtroubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Good listening andcommunication skills.
- Good relationshipand patience.
Terms ofEmployment:
40 hours perweek
Salary: $32.00 -$40.00per hour
