Overview: Are you organized, detail-oriented, and looking to start your career in an administrative role? As a Branch Administrator at Finning, you’ll support the day-to-day administrative needs of our branch, helping keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes. This is an entry‑on‑hand experience with office processes, documentation, and purchasing activities. Location: Fork McKay & In Town
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours/week
Salary: Approximately $60,000 annually
Job Description
- Timekeeping & Workforce Administration
- Timekeeping for all regional Parts employees
- Tracking and monitoring Workday training requirements
- Coordinating onboarding requirements, including asset requests, D&A; testing, and site access
- Scheduling and tracking drug and alcohol testing
- Maintaining ICP updates and employee records
- Procurement & Financial Support
- Creating subcontractor purchase orders in M3
- Assisting with invoice issues and follow-up
- Processing employee expenses in Concur
- Ordering supplies through Ariba
- Travel & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinating travel for temporary transfers and training
- Scheduling vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Supporting meeting coordination and general administration
- Operational Support
- Ordering and maintaining discount posters and promotional materials
- Managing retail clothing and company swag inventory
- Supporting department communications and other administrative initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Solid attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable with administrative tasks like data entry, filing, and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
- Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
- Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Post‑secondary education in administration, business, or a related field is an asset
- Previous administrative or office experience is an asset (co‑op, internship, or 1 year +)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with purchase orders or administrative systems is an asset, but not required
