We are looking for a Java Developer with 3 to 9 years of experience to join our team. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates based in Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Java applications and backend services.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Work with SQL databases and develop efficient queries.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, product, and engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Troubleshoot application issues and improve application performance.

Required Skills

- 3 to 9 years of professional Java development experience.
- Solid knowledge of Java 8/11/17 or newer.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.




- Experience with REST APIs and Microservices.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with Git and Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with JUnit and automated testing.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Kafka
- Docker and Kubernetes
- AWS or Azure
- Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
- NoSQL databases
- Enterprise or banking domain experience

Work Location

Fully Remote – Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
