- Measuring the areato be tiled or marbled in order to determine stockrequirements.
- Giving clientsaccurate estimates for the intendedjob.
- Purchasing stocksupplies and assembling tiling equipment.
- Creatingcustom-sized tiles or marble.
- The surface shouldbe cleaned and leveled.
- Applying tilingcement and arranging tiles or marble to designspecifications.
- Tiling grout isbeing applied.
- Cleaning excessgrout and carrying out post-installationinspections
- Work invoices areprocessed.
Requirements
- GED or high schooldiploma
- Prior experience asa tile and marble setter is required.
- Excellentcommunication abilities.
- Advancedmathematical abilities
- The ability to usehand and machine cutting tools
- Understanding oftiling designs and installation methods.
- Ability to work forlong periods of time crouching or kneeling.
- Excellentproblem-solving abilities.
