Blue J is a B2B SaaS company that provides generative AI solutions for tax professionals.Reporting to the VP, Accounting, the Finance Lead will own and evolve our core accounting and financial reporting processes. The role will shape Blue J’s future growth.LocationThis hybrid position requires on‑site presence in Toronto at least 2 days per week.ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring reliable, accurate, and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRSMonitor and report on financial performance against budget, partnering with department leaders to support understanding of monthly resultsLead the optimization of existing accounting processes, focusing on reducing time to close and ensuring scalability for growthPartner closely with FP&A, RevOps, and Sales to support productive and robust end‑to‑end revenue processes, including participation in the implementation of a new billing system (Chargebee)Collaborate on finance transformation initiatives, including system optimization and automationBuild a pragmatic and effective internal control environment, and promote a culture of control and compliance across the organizationLead and support the development of the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementStay up to date on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to ensure ongoing compliance and best practicesQualificationsCPA designation (or equivalent), with a strong foundation in IFRS and technical accounting principles10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience5+ years of experience managing a teamExperience building, mentoring,
