The coordinator will work closely with the programming team to build and manage systems to help us organize our content. This position will be responsible for the coordination of all prime-time Acquired, Pre-buy and co-production programs and program assets for both broadcast and digital. They will track the status of each production and be a key point of contact for internal divisions seeking programming details.



This role also involves receiving submissions and helping get shows to air.How you will make an impactWork closely with TVO Docs Commissioning Editor and Acquisitions Officers to track and manage materials and systems related to programmingTrack documentary submissions and take part in team submission reviewsTrack documentary projects in production and maintain a slate tracking system in collaboration with the teamCoordinate the delivery of completed commissioned and acquired program assets, comprised of hundreds of pieces of content and related assets each year, ensuring that all materials are delivered to spec, in accordance with contracts and on timeCreate program highlights packages to share with internal stakeholders such as the Audience Development teamMaintain and update the program delivery databaseAct as a point of contact for outside distributors and producers regarding program format, delivery and technical issuesWork with the TVO Docs programming team to curate TVO Docs YouTube playlistsWork closely with programmers and digital channel optimization team to coordinate program descriptions and images and ensure programs are distributed online strategicallyCreate and maintain a system to track TVO Originals content materials such as scripts, schedules, cast info etc.Manage special projects such as community events, screenings and internal presentationsLiaise with Business Affairs and Content Service team as neededOther duties as assignedWhat you will bring to TVO3 years of experience in a broadcast programming or scheduling environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Word,



Excel and PowerPoint and an ability to learn new database softwareOverall knowledge and understanding of Canadian television productionAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with various external stakeholdersUniversity or college education with a focus on mediaThe ideal candidate has a passion for documentaryTVO & YOUWe are a learning organization.
