As a DER Planning Engineer, you will work under the supervision of the Senior Lead Engineer and actively engage with stakeholders both internally and externally. You will lead initiatives such as Distribution Voltage Management projects while supporting operations and substation planning. Your expertise will help refine interconnection processes and develop distribution models.

Key Responsibilities:



• Plan electrical distribution utility systems using engineering principles • Facilitate DER interconnections timely with stakeholders • Analyze distribution system flow and capacity constraints • Develop technical specifications and cost estimates • Build relationships with internal and external customers

Requirements: • Post Secondary Degree in Electrical Engineering • Minimum of 5 years in power distribution systems • Skilled Engineer registration with APEGA preferred • Proficiency in SAP, CYME, MS Office, GIS systems • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s license required
