Technical Lead – AEM & Edge Delivery Services (EDS)

, youare responsible for

driving the technical vision, architecture, and delivery excellence

of digital experience platforms built on

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services

.

You bring

deep backendexpertisecombined with leadership capabilities

, guiding engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping

solution architecture, enforcing best practices, and mentoring developers

, whileremaininghands-on in complex implementations.

Role responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

Own and drive

solution architecture

for AEM Cloud Service and EDS implementations

Define

technical standards, best practices, and development guidelines

Establish and enforce

non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, resiliency)

Lead

design decisions

across backend architecture, APIs, and integrations

Partner with Architects to align

technical solutions with business objectives

Lead development of

AEM backend solutions

using:

OSGi services

Design and deliver

headless and omnichannel architectures

using EDS

Implement integrations with

CRM, PIM, DAM, marketing tech, and identity systems

Oversee API strategy (REST/GraphQL) ensuring scalability and maintainability

Cloud, DevOps & Quality Ownership

Own and guide

CI/CD pipelines

(Cloud Manager, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)

Define and enforce

code quality standards, automated testing, and release processes

Establish

observability frameworks

(monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting)

Optimize

Dispatcher/CDN caching strategies

(Fastly, Akamai, CloudFront)

Ensure

DevOps maturity and cloud-native best practices

across teams

Security, Performance & Compliance





Define and enforce

security best practices

(OWASP, OAuth2/OIDC, secure APIs, secrets management)

Lead initiatives for

performance optimization

(caching, indexing, query tuning, asset delivery)Ensure compliance with

data privacy, PII handling, and governance standards

Conduct

technical risk assessments

and implement mitigation strategies

Provide

hands-on technical leadership and mentoring

to backend engineers

Own

technical backlog refinement

and support estimation and planning

Act as the main

technical point of contact

for stakeholders

Collaborate closely with

Product Owners, QA, Frontend teams, and Architects

Drive

delivery excellence

, ensuring solutions meet quality and timeline expectations

Must have qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

8–12+ years of experience in software engineering

6+ years of experience with

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

4+ years working with

AEM as a Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services (EDS)

Proven experience in a

Technical Lead or Senior Lead role

Technical Expertise

Sling, OSGi, JCR, Oak

AEM Core Components

Content Fragments &GraphQLAPIs;

Experience with

Universal Editor and EDS delivery models

Deep understanding of:

Integration patterns & event-driven architectures

DevOps & Cloud

CI/CD pipelines and release management (Cloud Manager, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

Experience with

cloud observability tools

(Datadog, New Relic, Kibana)

Knowledge of

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform is a plus)

Strong experience with

Dispatcher/CDN configuration and optimization

Security & Performance

Authentication & authorization (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, Adobe IMS)

Secrets management (Vault, KMS)

Deep knowledge of:

Performance optimization

Caching strategies

Nice to have qualifications

Experience with

Adobe I/O Runtime (serverless)

Knowledge of

Adobe Target, Launch, Analytics integrations

Experience with

API gateways

(Apigee, Kong, Azure APIM)

Exposure to

GraphQLfederation and schema stitching

Experience delivering

headless and composable architectures

across channels (web, mobile, IoT)

The benefits This is a

Full time

position based in

Canada . The offered salary range is $115,000 CAD - $150,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and location.
