Transportfinished goods and raw materials over land to andfrom manufacturing plants or retail anddistribution centers Followinstructions; locate and read location and roadmaps Inspect vehiclesfor mechanical items and safety issues and performpreventative maintenance Load and unloadcargo Plan routes andmeet delivery schedules Pick up goods andmaterials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them asinstructed Document and logwork/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retainfuel/toll receipts Report road incidentsto the dispatcher Responsible forbasic vehicle maintenance; comply with all protected workpractices, policies, and processes at alltimes Comply with truckdriving rules and regulations (size, weight, routedesignations, parking and break periods)
