Employment Type:Contract (12 Months + 1 year Extension Option)Work Schedule:35 Hours/WeekOverviewWe are seeking aUtilities Engineerto support major capital, infrastructure renewal, and expansion projects. This role will be responsible for utility coordination, technical reviews, approvals, stakeholder engagement, and construction support related to public and private utility infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate temporary and permanent utility relocations and installations impacting infrastructure projects.Review utility engineering drawings and submissions for compliance with regulatory requirements, utility owner standards, and project specifications.Collaborate with utility companies, municipalities, regulatory agencies, consultants, and internal project teams.Prepare, submit, and track utility applications, approvals, and design packages.Support the development and administration of utility-related agreements, including coordination agreements, offers to connect, cost-sharing agreements, and NDAs.Participate in technical coordination meetings and maintain meeting minutes, action logs, and follow-up records.Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and utility‑related contract changes during construction.Maintain utility records, stakeholder contact lists, and coordination trackers.Support Ontario One Call requirements and utility coordination processes.Required QualificationsDegree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Municipal Engineering, or a related discipline.4–5 years of experience in civil engineering, municipal infrastructure, utility engineering, or utility coordination.Solid knowledge of underground utility infrastructure,



including water, sewer, gas, electrical, telecommunications, and related systems.Experience reviewing utility‑related engineering designs and technical submissions.Working knowledge of Ontario municipal and utility regulatory frameworks.Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders in complex project environments.Technical ExpertiseUtility CoordinationCivil & Municipal EngineeringUtility Design ReviewRegulatory ComplianceConstruction SupportStakeholder ManagementCost & Schedule ControlTechnical DocumentationMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Power BIMandatory CertificationsValid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with access to a vehicle.Nice‑to‑Have SkillsExperience supporting transit, transportation, or large infrastructure projects.Utility agreement administration and negotiation support.Knowledge of Ontario One Call processes.Preferred CertificationsProject Management Professional (PMP).Work ArrangementHybrid work model within the Greater Toronto Area (Yonge Street or Front Street West).Monthly in-person team meetings and periodic onsite/project site attendance required.Thank you for your interest in our position.
