This is a partner-facing, execution-focused role with a primary emphasis on pitches, proposals and RFP responses.Working closely with lawyers and BD Managers, the Senior Specialist will play a central role in developing compelling, client-centric materials that win work, while also supporting targeted business development initiatives and maintaining the firm’s core marketing assets.This role is ideal for a strong writer and project manager who thrives under pressure, brings sound judgment and is motivated by contributing directly to revenue generation.Key ResponsibilitiesProposals, Pitches, and RFPs (Primary Focus)- Lead and coordinate the development of pitches, proposals and RFP responses from intake through submission- Draft, edit and refine clear, persuasive and client-focused content that reflects the firm’s positioning and differentiators- Partner with lawyers to shape messaging, value propositions and team strategy based on client needs and competitive context- Assemble and tailor credentials,
experience and case studies to align with evaluation criteria and strategic objectives- Manage timelines, inputs and approvals across multiple stakeholders to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery- Track outcomes and feedback to continuously improve content, approach and win ratesCredentials and Content Development- Maintain and enhance core proposal assets, including practice descriptions, deal lists, biographies and client-ready materials- Translate complex legal experience into clear, concise and compelling narratives tailored to different audiences- Ensure consistency of messaging, tone and brand standards across all materialsDirectories, Rankings and Profile Raising- Support legal directory and award submissions (e.G., Chambers, Legal 500, Benchmark), including drafting and coordinating inputs- Identify and curate relevant matters and referee strategies to strengthen submissionsTargeted Business Development Support- Support Business Development Managers and lawyers in executing focused client and market initiatives- Conduct company, market and competitive research to inform pitches and outreach- Assist in preparing client presentations, events and follow-up materials, where relevantExperience Management and Data Integrity- Maintain accurate and up-to-date experience and credentials data for use in pitches and submissions- Leverage CRM and internal systems to identify relevant experience,
track activity and support reportingQualifications- Post‑secondary education in business, marketing, communications or a related field- 3–5+ years of business development or marketing experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading pitches, proposals and RFP responses- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with strong attention to detail- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment- Confident communicator with the ability to work directly with senior stakeholders- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM andexperience management systems is an assetSuccess ProfileThe successful candidate is- a transparent, concise and persuasive writer who can distill complex ideas into compelling messages; - a highly organized project manager who thrives under tight timelines; - a trusted partner to lawyers, able to challenge, guide and elevate content; - detail-oriented,proactive and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership; and- commerciallyminded, with an interest in how strong BD execution drives results.Salary RangeThe expected starting salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000.
