We are looking for anEngineering Managerto fill an open position on our mold design team at ourArlen Tool & Machiningfacility in Oldcastle.TheEngineering Manageris responsible for managing multiple projects, meeting customer demands, achieving overall project timing, in addition to managing the people and processes within the engineering department.Essential FunctionsInterfaces with the customer to coordinate all aspects of project such as technical studies, mold design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and project timing.Completing work orders within the design department and reviewing with mould making department.Manage and schedule engineering department and workload; ensuring timelines are met.Reviews mold design and mold flow studies for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.Liaison with outsourced design sources.Ensure all work is performed accurately, efficiently, on time to schedule, and within budget.Maintain complete and accurate records of assigned project activities.Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.Conduct tooling reviews to ensure standards and best practices are being employed.Approving all design related outsourcing costs, i.E. manifolds, mould flows,



outsource designs.Reviewing and approving engineering hours on a daily basis.Attending internal production meetings to discuss new and current work as well as engineering team workload.Performing design and surfacing tasks when required.Running and taking notes in all internal and customer engineering reviews.Working closely with both the CNC and mould making department to ensure all department needs are met.Qualifications10+ years’ experience in mold design and surfacingCimatron software experience is preferredEffective and professional communication skills, written and oral.Effective problem‑solving skills.Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Schedule & CompensationOvertime and flexible schedule are requiredStarting wage: $90,000 – $140,000 – depending on experienceBenefits availableIn accordance with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005, and the Ontario Human Rights Code, Arlen Tool Group will provide accommodation throughout the recruitment and selection process when requested by the applicant with disabilities.
