Become a Community Outreach Worker with CMHA Kelowna & District, focusing on outreach for individuals sheltering outdoors. This full-time role emphasizes case management and building supportive relationships in the community.

The Community Outreach Worker will engage with individuals lacking shelter, providing case management, advocacy, and crisis support. This term position in the Community Roots Program offers a 37.5-hour work week, Monday to Friday. Ideal candidates will possess robust communication skills and a commitment to mental health awareness.

Key Responsibilities:



• Conduct proactive outreach to locate individuals outdoors • Create essential care kits with food and hygiene items • Develop trust with individuals for program participation • Facilitate connections to community services and resources • Monitor client progress and adjust support plans as needed

Requirements: • Grade 12 education required • Minimum 2 years in addictions and mental health • Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle • Experience with harm reduction strategies preferred • Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills
