Canadian Natural is seeking a motivated Operations Engineering Student for a dynamic 16-month term, combining fieldwork with office support in Calgary. This position offers exposure to both Production and Facilities Engineering.

You'll start with hands-on field assignments, gaining valuable insights into asset operations, reliability, and safety practices. After the field term, you’ll assist in engineering projects, contributing to performance analysis and continuous improvement. This is an ideal role for those looking to integrate engineering and practical operations while making impactful contributions.

Key Responsibilities:



• Assist in risk and process hazard assessments • Participate in operational and capital project planning • Analyze production and operational data for optimizations • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for continuous improvement • Maintain engineering reports and dashboards

Requirements: • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering • Previous field experience is an asset • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; assets include SQL or Python • Solid communication skills and a responsible attitude towards safety • Physically fit for fieldwork
