Our client is looking for a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to oversee and maintain their fleet of trucks and heavy machinery. This role is responsible for keeping operations running smoothly by planning and executing maintenance tasks efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for the fleet.

Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, heavy trucks, and heavy equipment.
Source, order, and track replacement parts to ensure timely repairs and reduce equipment downtime.
Coordinate and manage maintenance schedules, aligning repairs with crew availability to maximize equipment uptime.
Document all work performed using digital work orders via Motive software.
Safely operate and position heavy equipment within the shop or yard as needed.

Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a mechanic specializing in heavy trucks and heavy equipment.
Ability to safely handle and operate heavy machinery.
Robust organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Heavy Duty Mechanic certification an asset
Experience with welding and fabrication an asset.
