DUTIES
Assembles and/or fabricates various types of transformers of a more complex nature, according to detailed instructions including: landing coils on assembled core, insulate and stack laminations into the coil, install or assemble mounting brackets, core building, and grinding and preparing of yoke pads
Performs all assembly operations on single and three phase transformers, up to and including five legged laminations prior to stacking mounting operations
Must be able to repeat these assemblies with little supervision
Responsible for the quality of the work assigned

Qualifications
Must have previous experience welding
Must have positive knowledge of terms, definitions, methods and techniques used in the manufacturing of transformers
Must have some knowledge of the mechanical and electrical properties of copper, steel and insulations used in the manufacturing of transformers

Full time Hourly Starting Rate - $28.22 Shift and Premium Pay Available:

$1.00/hr. – Afternoon shift premium

$2.50/hr. – Dedicated trainer premium

$3.00/hr. – Shift advisor premium

Full range - $28.22 - $32.07– as per the collective agreement
